Dewatering Cationic Polyacrylamide (CPAM) is a high-performance, high-molecular-weight water-soluble linear polymer explicitly designed to separate water from solid organic matter. It acts as a powerful flocculant and sludge conditioner in industrial and municipal sludge treatment systems. The polymer functions through charge neutralization and bridging. The positively charged nitrogen atoms along the polymer chain quickly bond with the negatively charged surface particles of organic sludge. Once the electrical charge is neutralized, the long polymer chains entangle the destabilised particles, forming large, tightly bound aggregates called flocs. It drastically reduces the moisture content of sludge cake, changing it from a loose slurry into a manageable, compressed solid. This facilitates easier handling, hauling, and disposal. It is optimized for mechanical dewatering machinery, including belt filter presses, screw presses, centrifuges, and chamber filter presses.
